JUL 4TH – FRIDAY 8:00 AM – HABITAT HOME RUN 5K RUN – Premium Race – Race to benefit Harford Habitat for Humanity.  Race begins by Mary E. Risteau Bldg. T-shirts to all entrants.  Registration $15 by June 30th, $20 after.  For info call Habitat for Humanity (410) 638-4434

JUL 5TH – SATURDAY 7:00 AM – RASAC LONG DISTANCE TRAINING RUN – Club training runs will be held monthly.  The full course distance is 17.7 miles, but shorter distances can be run, as the miles are marked and the first 7 miles are on an out & back route. Meet at the Churchville Test Track parking.  From Bel Air take RT 22 East to left on RT 136.  Parking lot will be on right a few miles up at the intersection of RT 136 and Harmony Church Road. JUL 6TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – OPEN

 

JUL 12TH – SATURDAY 7:30 AM – RASAC “WEDDING DAY” 5K – Come join Michele (Hoffman) and Darren as they host a 5K on the morning of their wedding.  The race will start at Ripken Stadium and will use the 5K course that has been used for other races there.  The give-a-way is a water bottle. JUL 13TH – SUNDAY 8:30 AM – BRRC / RASAC SWEET AIR 6 MILE TRAIL RUN – Joint race with BRRC.  Take Mountain Rd (152) north to left on route 165.  Go right on Green Road and follow for about 2 miles.  Take a right on Moores Road, go ½ mile and take a left on Dalton-Bevard Road.  Park in the lot on the right about a ½ mile into the park. $2 entry for all.  RASAC is responsible for sweeping the course after, so a volunteer is needed.  RD: Bob Gross (410) 838-7973

 

JUL 20TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC ROBIN HOOD 10K – A hilly course that has been a long time RASAC race.  Take Route 40 north towards Havre de Grace, go left at light on Robin Hood Rd, then 1 mile to right on Sherwood Lane #2327.  RD Nathan Boyer (410) 273-9487  

 

JUL 27TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC DUATHALON 5K RUN / 22 MILE BIKE / 5K RUN – Race starts at 705 Brier Court, Brierhill Estates, located off Route 543.  RD: Scott Schoeb (410) 836-7219

AUG 3RD – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC CHERRY HILL 5 MILER – A great race on the hills of Cherry Hill.  Take Route 24 north from Bel Air, turn right on Grier Nursery Road, go about 4 miles and make a right on Cherry Hill Road, after 1 more mile turn left on Burkins Road and it is the 2nd drive way on the right.  The house is set back from the road.  RD: Lydia Johnson (443) 504-3275

AUG 10TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC MA & PA 5K – New race on the new section of the Ma & Pa trail starting at the soccer fields off of Tollgate Road.  The race will go around the pond and ball fields and out to Annie’s playground and back.  RD: Rob Comeaux (410) 420-7272

AUG 17TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – 2ND ANNUAL RITE AID 5K & 1 MILE WALK – Premium Race –  Starts and finishes at Rite Aid Mid-Atlantic Customer Support Center. $25 for runners and walkers.  Under Armour T-shirt guaranteed to the first 200 paid registrants.  RD: Nelly Budrow (410) 297-5118

 

AUG 17TH – SUNDAY 11:00 AM – HARFORD COUNTY SENIOR OLYMPICS TRACK MEET – Meet will be held at the John Carroll High School.  As before there will be 5 year Senior Olympic age groups starting at 50-54 in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m events.  This year there are Masters (40-44 and 45-49) events added to the 800m and 1500m, and others if there is enough interest.  Entry fee $5 per event.  Meet director Joe Lacetera.

AUG 24TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC 40th ANNUAL AIRFIELD RUN – Race will be held at the Forest Hill Industrial Park and NOT at APG.  More detail will be posted on the website.  RD: Joe Lacetera (410) 877-0539

 

AUG 24TH – SUNDAY 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM – RASAC SUMMER PICNIC – Come join your fellow RASAC members and bring your family to this event hosted again by Tim and Katherine Gavin.  This is a family picnic and there is a pool for swimming.  Each family should bring their favorite drink and two of the following: snacks, side dishes, or desserts. The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, condiments, water, ice tea and lemon aid.  Cooks and volunteers will be needed.   Please RSVP to Nicole Bear at nlbear@gmail.com by 8/16 with number of guests attending.  The Gavin’s house is located at 1471 Jarrettsville Road, Jarrettsville.  Park at the church across the street from their house.

SEP 7TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC ROCK AROUND THE MOUNTAIN 5+ MILER – Hilly scenic 5+ mile run.  Park at the Rocks State Park ranger station.  Parking is limited so please carpool or ride your bike.  RD: Dave Starnes (410) 452-5756

 

SEP 14TH – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RUN WITH YOUR INNER CHILD 5K – Same trail, but a different race.  Fun run starting at the Annie's playground end of the Ma & Pa trail. Park in the Annie's lot (off of Smith Lane).  Race will go towards Tollgate.  Participants should bring a photo from their youth (age 10 and under...no re-touches, no glamour shots).  Photo should be kept

SEP 21ST – SUNDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC JERUSALEM RD GUNPOWDER 5 MILE TRAIL RUN – Since no one pays attention to the trail markings that Pop Pop and I have put up for past races (Scott), we have decided not to put up any trail markings for this year’s event.  For this year’s race you will be furnished with a map of the trail system with a North orientation.  If you have a decent compass (not a Mickey Mouse one) bring it.  If not..Tough.   The goal is to get to the turn around (picking up a turn around token from Pop Pop or Pin Head) and coming back the quickest way (not necessarily easiest) to the finish line.  There will be awards (a 1993 YUGO) for the first male, first female, and two person teams (male, female, and mixed).  TEAM MEMBERS MUST FINISH TOGETHER TO BE COUNTED AS A TEAM FINISH.  If you are out on the course for more than 1.5 hours your family will be contacted with the news that you vanished while on the run course.  This is so that they can set a date for the celebration party.  Just think, your family will probably be better off without you. 

 

Come and have some fun.  There is still a $2 donation ($3 for teams) for the Gunpowder Trail System maintenance.  Starts near the covered bridge.  From US1, go South on 152 (Mountain Rd), right onto Old Joppa, right onto Jerusalem Rd, go ½ mile and park at the Gunpowder Falls parking lot on the right.  Parking is limited so please carpool, ride your bike or run.  RD: George Stewart (410) 838-2297/ (410) 456-0744

SEP 27TH – SATURDAY 8:30 AM – CELEBRATION RUN 5K – HARFORD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL HAVRE DE GRACE – Premium Race – The race starts and ends behind Harford Memorial Hospital.  Screenings, refreshments, and awards after the race.   RD: Kim Thompson  (443) 643-4206

 

SEP 28ST – SATURDAY 8:00 AM – RASAC SUSQUEHANNA 15K & 10K – New race starting at Lapidum Road parking lot.  Both courses go north along the river and loop through the Susquehanna State Park. RD: Luke Belford (913) 240-4128
